A Workshop was organized on 15th September 2022 in the Multipurpose Hall, Mal Busty, Gorubathan.
The topic of the workshop was Emergence of Digital Media, Ethics and Media Rights.
Resource persons of the event were Nisha Chhetri, correspondent of Times of India, Umesh Tamang, correspondent of ABP Ananda and Prajwal Chhetri of Khojkhabar.com.
AK Rai Chief Editor of Kalimpong News and Secretary of Eastern Himalayan Journalists Union and President of Kalimpong Press Club gave introduction of the topics of the workshop as well as resource persons. Discussion on Journalism and Journalists was led by Nisha Chhetri, while Umesh Tamang spoke on Digital Media and ethics. Prajwal Chhetri shared his experiences and ideas on Interviews and hyperlocal media. About 45 emerging media journalists participated in the lively interaction. It highlighted on the emergence of the digital media in the present context, its positive and negative impact.
